Because I didn't want you to hear our news from someone else...
I brought my after-school Maths classes home in 2021 when the world was just a bit crazy with Covid, and four years later, my business is fully established to the point that I teach roughly 40 students each week. I absolutely love teaching from home, but with my husband now retired, I've been itching for my own space.
Quite unbelievably we've found a house in St Clair that has a large downstairs room and bathroom with its own entrance that is absolutely perfect for teaching from home. As parents you won't have to negotiate such a crowded street or difficult turning options, and for students who take the bus and hate walking up our current hill, there's just the slightest incline to our new house, so a win for everyone.
I'm expecting that I will be teaching from our new house from the beginning of Term 3, but should our current house that I have just listed not sell, my plans may change. For some of you I know the shift in location will mean your children won't be able to continue because it's just too far to travel, and I'm very sorry about that, but for my students who come from as far away as Fairfield, Mosgiel and Outram, I hope they might be grateful that I'll be that little bit closer to home.
Nothing is changing in Term 2
In Term 3 all classes and times will stay as they are now,
but the location is expected to be 109 Norfolk Street, St Clair.
If you have any concerns, please get in touch. I can't wait to have a dedicated teaching space and I hope most of your children will be able to make the shift to the other side of town.
Our current house at 22 Birchfield Avenue is listed privately following this link (TradeMe), and a fuller description can be found following the QR code below.
